I started Polaris Veterinary Services after 10 years working as a vet in a variety of settings and industries. During the years I spent outside of the typical small animal clinic setting, I continued to provide veterinary care to my friends’ and family members’ pets in their homes. From this, I realised that many routine health procedures can be easily completed without stressing our furry friends, and requiring much less time when done at home.

It isn’t easy for everyone to take their pets to a vet clinic - pet-friendly transport can be expensive and unavailable on short notice. Even for pet owners who drive, getting pets into a carrier, dealing with motion sickness and searching for parking can all turn a vet appointment into a full-day, whole-family endeavour. And all this is even before your pet smells the clinic and starts shivering uncontrollably!
